Job Descriptions and Requirements

Club Beyond is seeking self-starters with a spirit of adventure to minister to American teens whose parents serve in the United States military. Club Beyond is a unique ministry that reaches teens who might not otherwise be introduced to the Life Giver. Our ministry is community-focused, with an ecumenical sensitivity to the many faith groups represented on military bases. Being part of Club Beyond is an amazing opportunity to live in another culture and DO WHAT YOU LOVE — share your life with teenagers! Club Beyond wants to walk beside you as you step out in faith to celebrate life with military teens, introducing them to the Life Giver, and helping them become more like Him

The following is a list of position descriptions within the Club Beyond team:

Community Director
In this position, you will administer and lead the overall community youth ministry program, which is relationally focused and outreach-oriented. As the community director you will be responsible for:
  • The overall community outreach to "un-churched" teens;
  • "Inreach" to Christian teens;
  • Leading and equipping volunteers to do hands-on middle-school and high-school Christian youth programs.
Applicants must have a bachelor's degree and at least three to five years of experience in youth ministry. Negotiable salary and an excellent benefits package are offered. A three-year commitment and some fundraising are required. Young Life is Club Beyond's partner in this ministry opportunity. Previous experience with the military culture is helpful but not necessary as we train all staff.

Associate Staff
Take the Club Beyond challenge! Step out and minister to American teens. You will work side-by-side with a community director, receiving direction and training while you minister through camps, clubs, Bible studies, service projects and unstructured "hangout" time. As the associate staff person, you are an important role model for teens.

Short-Term Staff
If you are a high school graduate (preferably enrolled in college) and wish to experience first-hand the challenges and rewards of youth ministry, this could be the position for you. You will serve under a staff member and receive direction and training while you minister through camps, clubs, Bible studies, service projects and unstructured "hangout" time. You are an important role model for teens. There are opportunities in Europe, Asia and the United States based on your desire and our availability. College credits can be coordinated prior to embarking into the field. Short-term staff raise all of their own support.
